We pray this Advent series will help you open your heart to the bible, the Christmas story and the hope that the festive season reminds us of.

Like many Christian traditions, Advent has evolved over the centuries to what we know today, as the four weeks leading to Christmas.

The word advent is a derivative of the Latin word adventus, which might be translated as “coming”. In the context of Christmas, we are reminded of the coming of Christ in His birth, but we also reflect on his eternal kingdom and eventual second coming.
